Although not included in the "Official" tour, a moment of spontaneity finds us at one of the highest hillsides east of Keuka lake. With a view of both Keuka and Waneta lakes we arrive at Keuka Overlook Cellars. Arranging our caravan of vehicles within the premium parking arena is a feat second only to "Synchronized Swimming" circa 1996 (tryouts for the Men's Team for London 2012 to be held at Lake Waneta this afternoon !) As arrangements are made for a "Custom Tasting" available to our tour only, Tim is welcomed by Mandarin the orange tabby (Isn't that ironic?) and the blue skies shine upon everyone who ventured out today. Our place in the social register requires that the CEO of Keuka Overlook Cellars act as our sommelier today. Terry is quick to usher our entire group to the tasting concourse, providing two lists which will allow the most extensive tasting flight ever seen (30 selections, so it is who you know...) Our host takes a moment to "Read" the group, but soon pulls out all the stops, declaring "Taste what you want, I can't count !" Before you can say "un, deux, trois," the LPR has been endorsed, a declaration of a Red Rosebud has been uttered, and there is a transaction depleting our cash/credit for Terry's complete inventory. If you are fortunate enough to visit before Terry departs for her Las Vegas Lounge act, ask about the varied confections sometimes available....
